The Crucifixion Of Our Lord

On this day, the first day of the Feast of the Passover, our Lord sent his disciples into Jerusalem to make preparation. In the evening he met with the Twelve in the Upper Room that was prepared. here he washed their feet and instituted the Sacrament of his Body and Blood. He spoke words of comfort and peace, promised them the gift of the Holy Spirit and offered intercession. In the Garden of Gethsemane he endured agony of Spirit. Then, betrayed by Judas, he was arrested by his enemies.
