HOLLAND METHODIST CIRCUIT MEASURES IN RESPONSE TO CORONA VIRUS OUTBREAK

The Circuit urges all members to follow the guidelines issued by the government and to work with the community to stem the spread of this destructive agent.

Although our congregations are less than 100 persons, the size of groups allowed to meet, many are among the vulnerable elderly, and many more require public transportation to get to church.

The Rotterdam Congregation will hold its last public gathering on Sunday 15th March until further notice.

As of Sunday 15th March, worship service will be STREAMED LIVE from Amsterdam at the usual meeting time 1:30 p.m. A team of less vulnerable persons who travel by car will lead the worship experience so that those at home can follow. Although we will be separated by distance, these can be truly corporate worship experiences as we pray, praise and read God’s word; and receive the proclamation together.

Let us thank God for the electronic means available to us as we continue in this “physical contactless” mode until it is safe to resume regular meetings.

Our God remains a refuge and source of strength. in times of trouble

Every blessing,

Joan Delsol Meade (Rev’d Dr.)
Superintendent Minister
