14 “You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. 15 No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
— Matthew 5:14–16

Church Locations
Rotterdam Congregation
The Methodist Church in Rotterdam has been engaged in ministry for the past thirty years.
Our communion shares a close relationship with the Moravian Brethren whose physical church space, their kerk, is our meeting place for worship on Sundays and other programme activities on Thursday evenings. The Methodist family at Rotterdam comprises infants, children, youth, young adults and seniors. All are welcome.
A member of SKIN- Rotterdam, we are ecumenical, serving the community together with other churches sharing in faith.
On Sundays, our Lord’s Day meeting is Word-centred worship of God which includes the proclamation of the gospel; but we also share in rich fellowship as we embrace persons as co-equal children of God. We celebrate New Life in Jesus Christ and emphasise our role in home, church and community as stewards of God’s grace. Our Sunday meetings start at 2:00 p.m. except on the second Sunday of each month when we meet at 10:00 a.m. At these morning services, the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) is administered. On the third Sunday of each month, worship is in Dutch but English on other Sundays.
If you are new in the city and looking for a home church, we welcome you with open arms. If you are visiting and simply want to share in praise, worship and fellowship, please feel free to drop by. There is always coffee & tea service and fellowship after worship.
If you wish to share spiritual concerns or seek guidance, our pastoral team headed by Rev’d Dr. Joan Delsol Meade, will gladly receive you.
